Solo Founder - Why VC ,Investors don't like Solo founders

Why Angles ,Investors ,VC’s don’t like solo founders .

I don’t think its about liking, its just that it is hard to do all alone and they know it.

Ya ,That is true ,We can’t make it alone .thanks for your answer

The main concern with solo founders is key man risk. Other than that as startups scale over time, there is often the need to divide the work amongst the team. We have seen solo founders become burdened with a lot of day to day work and are unable to find time for long term strategic thought.

It also really helps to have a founding team/ co founders with multi functional expertise. Often, this leads to lesser blind spots as you scale.

Not sure it can be generalized. I doubt if there is really any bias against solo founders.

Even for Rainmatter for instance, we are not really worried too much about how many founders etc, the idea is to back ideas that seem solving a real problem. A team can then be built around it. In fact a solo founder eventually finding a co founder is easier than someome starting out and then finding a problem worth solving.
