Pre-Seed Fund Opportunty - GoGaraze

Problem Statement:
India’s vehicle service ecosystem is highly fragmented and unorganized, with over 340 million vehicles and more than 85% of garages operating offline. Vehicle owners face challenges like inconsistent pricing, lack of transparency and unreliable service quality, while local garages struggle with low visibility, inefficient operations and limited access to digital tools or customers.

Solution:
GoGaraze is building a unified vehicle care aggregation platform that connects vehicle owners, garages and fleet operators through a tech-driven, trust-first and EV-ready ecosystem. The platform simplifies vehicle care — from washing and maintenance to repairs — while digitizing garage operations with tools for job management, visibility and payments.

Market Opportunity:
India’s automotive aftermarket is valued at ₹2.5 lakh crore (~USD 30 billion) and growing at 8–10% annually. With increasing vehicle ownership and rising demand for digital convenience, GoGaraze aims to capture a significant share by digitizing service delivery across two-wheelers, cars, and autos — segments that together represent over 90% of India’s mobility base.

Business Model:
GoGaraze operates on a commission-based marketplace model, earning 8–10% per transaction from verified service partners. Additional revenue streams include subscriptions for garages (SaaS model), fleet servicing contracts, and value-added services like insurance and EV maintenance integration.

Pre-Seed Fund Raise:
GoGaraze is currently raising ₹1.5 Crores (~USD 0.18 Million) in a Pre-Seed Round to build the MVP, onboard early garages and execute pilot expansion across Hyderabad. The funds will primarily support product development, team expansion, marketing and operational setup.

@KishoreGurijala is it similar to GoMechanic but with COCO model ?

I agree there is no mention of franchise in your business but any idea why incumbent player is not going for asset light business model like yours ? I believe it is because asset light model compromises the service quality standards.

Hi @Nithesh , thanks for the question — and apologies for the delayed response.

GoGaraze is not a GoMechanic-like COCO model. The reality is that over 70% of India’s vehicle servicing already happens outside authorized dealerships, which shows that customers prefer affordability, convenience and transparency over branded infrastructure. If quality was the true barrier, these users wouldn’t rely on unorganized garages. Most vehicle owners visit authorized centres only until their free services expire — after that, they actively seek reliable yet cost-effective alternatives.

This is where GoGaraze is fundamentally different from incumbents. We aren’t building a branded workshop network; we are organizing the existing unorganized market with transparent pricing, ratings, digital job cards, and the freedom for users to choose verified garages. The issue with previous asset-light players wasn’t the model itself but inconsistent execution and lack of trust — reflected even in GoMechanic’s reviews around pricing mismatches and low retention. Our approach is trust-first, tech-led and partner-accountable, ensuring the quality gap is closed without owning physical infrastructure.

Additionally, the aftermarket goes far beyond repairs. Nearly 90% of users choose local garages for cosmetic and add-on services like PPF, washing, detailing and modifications — a massive, high-frequency, unorganized segment that franchised or COCO models don’t capture well. By enabling both repair and cosmetic services in one aggregated platform, GoGaraze taps into a significantly broader market and builds a more sustainable ecosystem from the ground up.

We can definitely discuss this further — happy to walk you through the approach in more detail. Please let me know if you have a 15-20 minute slot available for a quick call.
