Habit creation vs Habit enhancement - a marketing take for better outcomes in user adoption

Hi all,

I'm Sidharth and a founder of a health/fitness tech startup trying to build a platform/community of people who would like to build simple yet effective fitness habits starting with 'Walking'. I would like the groups opinion on the subtle change of my stance from an app trying to achieve 'habit creation' as opposed to now 'passive habit enhancement' as the core value proposition.
**Here's my take in a slight more detailed form: [Steppps](https://www.steppps.in) was initially positioned as an app that is trying to inculcate a habit of walking amongst its users by allowing them to participate in fun and easy steps challenges of various nature - open to all challenges, closed (invite only) challenges and personal challenges. But a couple of days ago while I was explaining what Steppps was to someone and I inadvertently pitched it as an app that is only attempting to enhance an existing passive habit (walking that everyone does on a daily basis) and make it an active one by highlighting how it already is helping you and how it could make their lives better if only they made it an active one.**

Looking forward to your comments and if it tickles your fancy, please do download the app and give me feedback.
