Most of the building is at the superficial level of tracking food & exercise - this in itself is uninteresting to me!
Most diagnostic tests these days report numerous biomarkers only a subset of which the doctors focus on. The correlation between these biomarkers, diseases (current & future) & symptoms are manually hypothesised by doctors. With good data mining techniques, it’s possible to unearth multiple correlations hitherto not thought of, predict diseases in advance, and relieve patients.
This can be used in one of 2 ways: a) clinical decisioning systems for doctors-laboratories b) a way for patients to take agency of their health.
There don’t seem to be products in market achieving this, from a user’s perspective.
I have solid experience building ML systems. Are there doctors & other full-stack engineers interested in building something in this space? I’m fine with building this as a nonprofit as well, if that suits the context better - just feel that there’s possibility to improve our lives in a profound way which we aren’t realising!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and vision! I completely resonate with your perspective on moving beyond superficial tracking to uncover deeper, actionable insights through data-driven correlations.
At NutriMap, we’ve been working on a similar concept for the past two years—developing a Personalized Food Navigator App to empower patients in managing their health. It would be fantastic to connect and explore potential synergies.
