Vishal Vijay, a dynamic entrepreneur, filmmaker, and actor, was born in Goa, where his passion for storytelling and business took root.
At 10, he assisted at Paldauson Electricals, his family’s factory making electrical pipes. Traveling Goa with his father, Vishal honed marketing and sales skills, shaping a 24-year career in entertainment, real estate, sports, insurance, multimedia, publishing, and tax consultancy.
From 15 to 20, he worked in his father’s tax consultancy in Mapusa, learning client relations. His love for cinema sparked at 15 watching Amitabh Bachchan in Don, reignited in 2000 by Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai. At 21, in 2000, Vishal joined Sun Village as a Food and Beverage trainee, becoming Assistant Supervisor. In 2001, he moved to Mumbai to pursue acting and filmmaking but returned to Goa after an accident, working in his father’s business and as an insurance agent (2002–2003).
In 2003, Vishal joined Film Craft Academy, meeting his guru, Shri Dinesh Bhonsle, who transformed his career. He debuted in Grace, Guts and Glory (2004), a St. Francis Xavier biopic, and starred in the Konkani film Vizmit (2006). From 2004 to 2008, he worked in Bollywood, South Indian, and Konkani films as a junior artist, character actor, and production assistant.
From 2005 to 2009, he honed his craft in Mumbai’s TV industry. Trained at Barry John Acting Studio and Kala Academy Goa (2008), Vishal paused his career after his sister’s murder to support his family. From 2014 to 2017, he worked at Goa’s electricity department.
A broken promise of a TV channel role in 2017 fueled his entrepreneurial drive. A call to teach acting led to founding The Good One Acting and Theatre School in 2018 in Porvorim. Vishal mentored actors in Goa, Mumbai, and Vasai, directing The Lion King musical in Vasco (2018).
In 2019, he moved to Vasai, managing a sports turf during the 2020–2021 lockdown. In 2021, he worked as a translator for Amazon’s Murder in Agonda, reigniting his passion.
After another accident, he returned to Goa, launching a social media agency and YouTube channels like Goem TV (2022–2023).
In 2024, Vishal completed a filmmaking course at the Institute of Moving Images, Bandra, directing and acting in short films.
As the founder of Chhaava Entertainment and Multi Media , Vishal is pioneering a global ecosystem for indie and regional cinema. Its tagline, “Stories That Inspire, Unite, and Transform,” reflects a mission to deliver authentic, culturally rich content that fosters pride in Goan and Indian identities while connecting global audiences.
